THE ARTIST - SONYA ANDERSON

Sonya grew up watching the generation before her master their crafts, her grandfather was a Master carver and her grandmother worked alongside him weaving beautiful Taniko. From a young age she developed the belief that we each have our own talents and a life long journey to discover and refine them. 
 

As a self taught artist based in Devonport with a passion for painting large abstract pieces, Her work will often have an ethereal feel, she uses colours that work harmoniously together, to have balance, depth, movement, she wants the viewer to feel a sense of repose. 

As an interior designer she has a passion for beautiful spaces, as an artist she likes to create quiet statements, artworks that sit in unity with their surroundings, but, steals just a little of the limelight, drawing the possessors eye.
